Alarms & wake-up

My alarm didn't fire this morning.

+

WakeMind uses iOS AlarmKit, which fires even when the app is closed and continues through Low Power Mode. The most common causes are: (1) the alarm toggle was off — open the Alarms tab and confirm the row shows lavender; (2) the phone was completely powered down before the fire time — keep it plugged in overnight; (3) the alarm was set for a day not in your repeat schedule. If none of these apply, please email us with your alarm time and the date — we keep server-side logs that can pinpoint the issue.

The voice playing my briefing sounds wrong.

+

Open Settings → Voice or the Alarm edit screen and re-select your preferred voice. Briefings are pre-generated overnight, so a voice change you made today applies to tomorrow's briefing onward — older briefings keep their original voice. If your selected voice is sounding mechanical, try toggling it off and back on to force a fresh sync.

My morning briefing didn't have weather or calendar info.

+

Weather requires Location While Using permission (Settings → WakeMind → Location). Calendar requires read access (Settings → WakeMind → Calendars). If both are granted and information is still missing, the briefing was likely generated before the permission was given — the next briefing will include it.

Can I use WakeMind alongside iPhone's built-in Clock alarm?

+

Yes. WakeMind alarms are independent of iOS Clock. Many users keep an iOS Clock alarm 5 minutes after their WakeMind alarm as a backup while they get used to the gentle wake.

Subscription & billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

+

iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → WakeMind → Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again. WakeMind never asks you to fill out cancellation forms or talk to anyone.

I was charged after I cancelled.

+

If a charge appeared after cancellation, the cancellation likely occurred after the auto-renew had already processed (Apple renews up to 24 hours before the period ends). Refunds for these cases go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com — we don't have direct access to your billing.

I want to switch from Weekly to Yearly (or vice versa).

+

Open the iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → WakeMind → tap the plan you want. Apple handles the proration. The new plan starts immediately.

My Pro features disappeared.

+

If your subscription is active but Pro features aren't unlocking, force-quit and reopen the app — this triggers a re-sync with Apple. If the issue persists, sign out and back in (Profile → Sign out). Still stuck? Email us with the Apple ID email associated with the purchase and we'll resolve it.

Account & data

How do I reset my password?

+

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" — we send a reset link to your account email. The link is valid for one hour. If it does not arrive, check spam, or email us and we'll trigger one manually.

How do I delete my account and data?

+

In the iOS app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your alarms, journal entries, mood records, and account from our servers within 30 days. The action cannot be undone. If you cannot access the app, email us from the address associated with your account and we will process the deletion within 7 days.

Can I export my journal entries?

+

Journal export is on the roadmap. In the meantime, email us with the date range you need and we will send your entries as a JSON or PDF file within 3 working days. We will only respond to the email address associated with your account.

Are my voice journals private?

+

Yes. Voice journals are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not transcribe them server-side except when you explicitly request transcription. We never share or sell journal content. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Bugs & feedback

I found a bug. How do I report it?

+

Email [email protected] with: (1) what you were doing, (2) what you expected, (3) what actually happened, and ideally a screenshot or screen recording. iOS lets you record your screen via Control Center. Bug reports go straight to the founder, not a queue.

I have a feature request.

+

We read every feature request. The fastest path is a one-line description of the problem you're trying to solve (we'd rather hear the problem than the solution). Email it to [email protected] with subject "Feature request: [topic]".

Where's the changelog?

+

In the App Store listing, tap "Version History" to see what changed in each release. We also post longer-form release notes on the blog when meaningful features ship.

Quick actions

For account-level operations, the in-app screens are the fastest path.

  • Cancel subscription: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → WakeMind → Cancel.
  • Request a refund: reportaproblem.apple.com (handled by Apple).
  • Delete account & data: In the app, Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Or email us.
  • Export journal entries: Email [email protected] with the date range — delivered within 3 working days.
